No, we are not. We’re removing the “swipe left, swipe right” by offering personalized matchmaking solutions and a variety of ways to meet like-minded singles.

Is it expensive to be a member?

For a limited time, there is NO cost to being a member! Pricing information will be revealed soon, but don’t worry, we’ll have options for every budget!

What are the geographical areas you service?

We are focusing exclusively on Anne Arundel County, MD, and surrounding areas within a 20-mile radius. However, we plan to offer our services to other locations soon.

I’ve been burned with too many fake profiles on dating apps. How will I know the person you’re matching me with is real?

We eliminate this possibility by meeting every member over the phone and in person. We also run criminal background checks and review social media accounts.

Can I bring a friend with me to a singles event?

Gem Matchmaking must pre-approve all event attendees. However, we welcome referrals from our members, so please direct them to our website to join.

I saw someone I’m interested in at an event hosted by Gem Matchmaking. Can I ask for their phone number?

We want our events to be a low-pressure environment where people can freely explore potential connections. Please refrain from asking for phone numbers, social media handles, etc., and direct your interest to a Gem Matchmaker. We will let you know if the feeling is mutual with your person of interest and take it from there.

I wanted to see my Date again, but they declined. I thought it went well, but how will I know what went wrong?

Ask your matchmaker! Based on your membership, they will debrief your dates and gather feedback from each party, so you know why it didn’t work out and how to improve next time.

I’m in a relationship but want to see “what’s out there.” What is my next step with your service?

Unfortunately, this means Gem Matchmaking isn’t the right fit for you. We only work with singles who are ready to commit, not in a relationship or marriage.

Can I see the Match before I commit to going on a date?

Yes! All members must be comfortable with our open policy of sharing photos, videos, and summaries of a potential match.

What types of events does Gem Matchmaking host?

Members can anticipate fun events and activities, such as Speed Dating,o trivia, wine tastings, sports, and more!

What is your refund policy?

Although we don’t issue refunds, we do our best to ensure every Member is satisfied with our services. Please get in touch with us as soon as you have a concern or bad experience. We want to resolve that as soon as possible.

What happens if I find out my Match is in a relationship or they exhibit bad behavior?

Please notify us as soon as possible. We take those concerns very seriously and will investigate to determine the most appropriate action.
