I've always told hiring managers that recruiting is much like dating. The saying, “If they're into you, you'll know it,” applies to both situations.

A hiring manager shouldn't wait for the candidate to return their call, and the candidate shouldn't have to wonder if they will get the job. Ideally, the process should unfold effortlessly.

As a recruiter, I act as a neutral third party with the goal of finding the most compatible candidates for hiring managers. I meet my clients face-to-face to gain a better understanding of the working environment and culture. I also ask probing questions to learn as much as possible about the job opportunity. Afterward, I actively search for the right candidates and apply various screening tactics to identify a lasting match.

There’s nothing more fulfilling than connecting two parties that might never have met otherwise. The similarities between recruiting and dating are striking, and I thrive on orchestrating these matches. I am excited to leverage my expertise to create meaningful relationships in both realms.

Friends and acquaintances repeteadly turn to my advice on trying to meet new people - and the number of profiles I've created on Bumble and Hinge is rather high! And I help them navigate their love lives, tackle difficult conversations, discover their self-worth, and ensure they are treated with respect by their partners.

I have a unique ability to read people and trust my gut feelings, which are never wrong. My grandmother had an incredible intuition about relationships and could often tell if they would work out from the very beginning—thank you, Grandma D, for passing down that “fortune teller” trait!

Though I feel fortunate to leave all that behind after finding my life partner, I also deeply understand the feelings of loneliness and hopelessness that can come with being single in today’s climate.
